
The Panerai PAM 28 is a 2009 special edition piece that was just announced by Officine Panerai at SIHH ‘09. There will be 1,000 pieces released, and the watch is housed in a DLC’d 44 mm Luminor case.
The PAM28 has an automatic SOPROD 9040 calibre movement that features 24 jewels, 28,800 alternations per hour, a 42 hour power reserve, 11 1/2 lignes, monometallic Glucydur balance, Incabloc anti-shoc mechanism, and includes a C.O.S.C. chronometer certificate.
The functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, and a power reserve indicator on the dial.
The Panerai PAM00028 has a solid, screw down caseback made of brushed steel and a 2.5 mm sapphire crystal covering the dial. The sapphire features a magnifying lens at 3 o’clock and is coated with anti-reflective coating.
The PAM 28 includes a leather strap, complete with a matching DLC buckle.
