Panerai PAM 233 Review



Panerai PAM 233The Panerai PAM 233 (PAM 00233) is the first watch offered by Officine Panerai with an in-house movement. It is a GMT model offered in a stainless steel case.

The Panerai 233 is housed in a 44mm stainless steel 1950’s Luminor case. The watch case is brushed with an offsetting polished bezel and a gorgeous domed sapphire crystal.

The hand-wound mechanical, Panerai Calibre P.2002/1 movement is completely manufactured by Panerai. Here are the specs:

  • 13¾ lignes
  • 6.6 thick
  • 21 jewels, 8-day power reserve
  • 3 spring barrels
  • Glucydur balance
  • 28,800 alternations/hour (4 Hz)
  • KIF Parechoc anti-shock device

PAM 233 Pictures

The PAM233 functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, second time zone, 24h indicator, horizontal power reserve indicator, and second reset. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

The PAM 233 features a see through, sapphire crystal display back and is supplied with a calf strap.

I love my PAM 233. The inhouse 8 day movement winds up great and the 1950 case is to die for. It’s a fantastic Panerai!
