The impressive 47mm Panerai PAM 331 GMT tourbillon was just announced by Officine Panerai at SIHH 2009. This titanium model features a black dial, a black alligator strap, and the gorgeous 1950 Luminor case.

The PAM331 is equipped with Officine Panerai’s P.2005 calibre hand-wound mechanical movement, measuring 9.1mm thick. The P.2005 is an in-house movement that features 31 jewels, 16 1/4 lignes, 3 spring barrels, KIF Parechoc anti-shock protection, Glucydur balance, and a 6 day power reserve. It produces 28,800 alternations per hour.

The functions supported by the PAM 00331 include hours, minutes, seconds, tourbillon, 24 hour indicator, second time zone (GMT), and a power reserve indictator displayed on the back of the watch.

Panerai used sapphire crystal to cover both the dial and the see-through display back. The Panerai PAM 331 is water resistant to 100 meters.

The stunning Panerai PAM 330 GMT tourbillon is a new addition for 2009 to Officine Panerai’s Manifattura lineup. The massive 48mm 18ct pink gold Radiomir case is beautifully paired with a tobacco dial and brown alligator strap.

Panerai equipped the PAM330 with their P.2005 calibre hand-wound movement. The movement is 9.1mm thick and features 31 jewels, 16 1/4 lignes, three barrels, KIF Parechoc anti-shock protection, a 6 day power reserve, and Glucydur balance. It produces 28,800 alternations per hour (4Hz).

The Panerai PAM 330 proudly displays the amazing movement via a see-through sapphire crystal caseback. The dial is also protected by sapphire crystal, measuring 1.9mm thick and coated with an anti-reflective treatment.

The PAM 00330 is water resistant to 100 meters.

The Panerai PAM 328 is a new piece added to Officine Panerai’s Manifattura collection for 2009. The PAM328 is a stainless steel bracelet model that is housed in a 44mm 1950 Luminor case.

Panerai used their in-house P.9000 calibre automatic movement in the PAM 00328. This movement is made up of 195 components and features 28 jewels, 13 3/4 lignes, Incabloc anti-shock protection, Glucydur balance, two barrels, power reserve of 3 days, and produces 28,800 alternations per hour.

A sapphire crystal see-through back displays the in-house movement and the dial is covered by 2.6mm thick sapphire crystal that has been treated with an anti-reflective coating.

The Panerai PAM 328 is water resistant to 300 meters.

The Panerai PAM 312, released at SIHH ‘09, is a stainless steel model housed in a 44mm 1950 Luminor case. The watch features a clean, black dial and black alligator strap with a brushed steel buckle.

The PAM312 is a continuation of Officine Panerai’s shift to all in-house movements, and makes use of the P.9000 calibre automatic movement. The P.9000 produces 28,800 alternations per hour and features 195 components, 28 jewels, 13 3/4 lignes, a 3 day power reserve, Incabloc anti-shock device, Glucydur balance, and two barrels. The movement is visible through the see-through crystal display back.

The PAM00312 tracks hours, minutes, small seconds, and date, and the sapphire crystal covering the dial is 2.6mm thick and treated with anti-reflective coating.

The Panerai PAM 312 is water resistant to 300 meters and made of AISI 316L steel.

The Panerai PAM 305 is the latest submersible added to Officine Panerai’s lineup. The PAM305 is a 47mm sub in a titanium 1950 style Luminor case.

The Panerai PAM305 is powered by OP’s P.9000 calibre movement, one which is produced entirely in-house. The 7.9mm thick movement produces 28,800 alternations per hour and features 195 different components, 28 jewels, two barrels, 13 3/4 lignes, a 3 day power reserve, Incabloc anti-shock device, and Glucydur balance.

The brushed titanium bezel features polished edges, and rotates anti-clockwise allowing the diver’s time of immersion to be timed.

The PAM 00305’s see-through display caseback is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and the anti-reflective crystal covering the dial is treated with an anti-reflective coating.

The Panerai PAM 305 sub is water resistant to 300 meters and includes a rubber strap with large titanium brushed buckle, a strap change tool with steel screwdriver, and a second interchangeable strap.

The Panerai PAM 320 is new to the OP Manifattura lineup, as of SIHH ‘09. The PAM320 is a stainless steel model featuring the 1950 style Luminor case, a black dial, and a brown alligator strap with stainless steel buckle.

The automatic Panerai P.9001 calibre movement powers the PAM320 at 28,800 alternations per hour. The movement consists of 29 jewels, 227 different components, 13 3/4 lignes, Glucydur balance, Incabloc anti-shock protection, two barrels, and a 3 day power reserve.

The PAM00320’s black dial displays hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and a second time zone (GMT). Other functions include seconds reset and a power reserve indicator located on the back of the watch.

The AISI 316L brushed steel case is sealed by a see-through sapphire crystal display back on the rear or the watch, and a 2.6mm thick, anti-reflective sapphire crystal over the dial.

The Panerai PAM 320 includes a beautiful brown alligator strap with a brushed steel buckle, and is water resistant to 300 meters.

Another new 2009 SIHH addition for OP, the Panerai PAM 329 is a stainless steel bracelet model housed in a 44mm 1950 Luminor case. It features a black dial and GMT function.

Officine Panerai used their P.9001 calibre movement in the PAM329. The movement produces 28,800 alternations per hour, 29 jewels, 13 3/4 lignes, two barrels, Glucydur balance, Incabloc anti-shock device, and a power reserve of 3 days. It is produced entirely in-house by Panerai and contains 227 components.

The PAM00329 displays the following functions:

The Panerai PAM 329 features a sapphire crystal see-through display back, and a 2.6mm, anti-reflective version over the dial. The watch is water resistant to 300 meters.

The Panerai PAM 321 is a new addition to Officine Panerai’s Manifattura lineup, as announced at SIHH today. The PAM321 (Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Power Reserve Automatic) is housed in a 44mm 1950 Luminor case and features a black dial.

Panerai decided to incorporate their new P.9002 calibre automatic movement in the PAM00321, an in-house movement executed entirely by Panerai that consists of 29 jewels, 13 3/4 lignes, Incabloc anti-shock protection, Glucydur balance, a 3 day power reserve, and two barrels. The P.9002 calibre is made of 236 components and produces 28,800 alternations per hour.

As far as functions go, the PAM 321 includes the following: Hours, minutes, small seconds, seconds reset, second time zone (GMT), date, and power reserve indicator.

The see through display back is crafted from sapphire crystal, as is the 2.6mm thick, anti-reflective glass over the dial.

The Panerai PAM 321 is water resistant to 300 meters and includes a black alligator strap with brushed steel buckle.

The Panerai PAM 319 Luminor 1950 8 Days Rattrapante is a new addition to OP’s 2009 Manifattura lineup. This stunning piece pairs a 47mm 18ct. pink gold 1950 Luminor case with a beautiful tobacco dial.

Panerai used their P.2006/3 calibre hand wound movement in the PAM00319, featuring 34 jewels, three barrels, 13 3/4 lignes, an 8 day power reserve with linear indicator (placed on the dial), Glucydur balance, and KIF Parechoc anti-shock protection. The movement is made up of 356 components and produces 28,800 alternations per hour.

Panerai provided the following functions with the PAM319:

The gorgeous domed sapphire crystal measures 2mm thick and is treated with an anti-reflective coating. Sapphire crystal is also used for the see-through display caseback.

The Panerai PAM 327 is a new addition to the Contemporary lineup for 2009. The PAM327 Chrono Daylight is a titanium bracelet model that features a gorgeous blue dial and a 44 mm 1950 Luminor case.

The PAM00327 is powered by Panerai’s OP XII calibre automatic movement, featuring 27 jewels, 13 1/4 lignes, and a power reserve of 46 hours. The movement produces 28,800 alternations per hour and includes a C.O.S.C. chronometer certificate.

A solid, screw down caseback is used on the back of the PAM 327, while a sapphire crystal protects the dial. The Panerai PAM 327 is water resistant to 100 meters.

The Panerai PAM 326 Chrono Daylight is another new watch that was just rolled out today by Officine Panerai at SIHH 2009. Part of the contemporary collection, the PAM326 is a chronograph model housed in a 44 mm titanium 1950 Luminor case.

Panerai made use of the OP XII calibre automatic movement in the PAM00326. The movement produces 28,800 alternations per hour and features 27 jewels, 13 1/4 lignes, Incabloc anti-shock protection, Glucydur balance, a 46 hour power reserve, and a C.O.S.C. chronometer certificate.

The PAM 326 features the following functions: Hours, minutes, small seconds, date, chronograph with three counters, and a tachymeter scale. The chrono functions are controlled by brushed steel pushers.

Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, and the stunning blue dial is paired with a gorgeous blue alligator strap and Panerai deployant clasp.

The Panerai PAM 326 dial is covered by a 2.5 mm thick sapphire crystal. A solid caseback is used for the back of the watch.

The Panerai PAM 298 was added to the Luminor Marina Automatic lineup this year at SIHH. The PAM00298 is a 40 mm watch that features a black dial and brushed steel bracelet.

Panerai used their OP III calibre movement in the PAM298, which is an automatic movement with 21 jewels, 13 1/4 lignes, Glucydur balance, Incabloc anti-shock device, 42 hour power reserve, and a C.O.S.C. chronometer certificate.

The Panerai PAM 298 features a solid, screw down caseback, anti-reflective sapphire crystal over the dial, and an alligator strap.

The Panerai PAM 296 is a brand new watch unveiled by Officine Panerai at SIHH 2009. It is a 44 mm Luminor model that features a steel and titanium case, titanium bracelet, and gorgeous tobacco dial.

Panerai used an automatic OP III calibre movement in the PAM296. This movement features 21 jewels, 13 1/4 lignes, Cotes de Geneve decoration on the bridges, Glucydur balance, and Incabloc anti-shock device. It produces 28,800 alternations per hour and has a 42 hour power reserve.

The Panerai PAM 296 is water resistant to 300 meters and includes a screw down, solid caseback, 3.5 mm thick sapphire crystal (with date magnifying lens and anti-reflective coating), and alligator strap.

The Panerai PAM 333 is a new regular production watch that was just announced by Officine Panerai at SIHH 2009. It is a contemporary piece that fits into OP’s Luminor Marina Automatic collection.

The PAM333 is a 40 mm model that is housed in a titanium case and features a brushed titanium and polished steel bracelet (and, thankfully it’s the original Panerai bracelet design — not the hideous “new and improved” version which was introduced last year).

Panerai fitted the PAM00333 with an OP III calibre automatic movement featuring 21 jewels, 13 1/4 lignes, Cotes de Geneve decorated bridges, Incabloc anti-shock device, and a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement produces 28,800 alternations per hour and comes with a C.O.S.C. chronometer certificate.

The PAM 333 also includes a solid, screw down caseback, 3.7 mm sapphire crystal over the dial, a date magnifying lens at 3 o’clock, anti-reflective coating, and an alligator strap (in addition to the bracelet).

New for 2009 is the Panerai PAM 332, a gorgeous special edition watch which is housed in a stealthy, black DLC treated 1950 Luminor case. There will be a total of 500 pieces released.

Panerai equipped the PAM332 with an automatic mechanical OP XVIII calibre movement featuring 31 jewels and 13 1/4 lignes. The movement produces 28,800 alternations per hour and includes a Glucydur balance and Incabloc anti-shock device.

The Panerai PAM 28 is a 2009 special edition piece that was just announced by Officine Panerai at SIHH ‘09. There will be 1,000 pieces released, and the watch is housed in a DLC’d 44 mm Luminor case.

The PAM28 has an automatic SOPROD 9040 calibre movement that features 24 jewels, 28,800 alternations per hour, a 42 hour power reserve, 11 1/2 lignes, monometallic Glucydur balance, Incabloc anti-shoc mechanism, and includes a C.O.S.C. chronometer certificate.

The functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, and a power reserve indicator on the dial.

The Panerai PAM00028 has a solid, screw down caseback made of brushed steel and a 2.5 mm sapphire crystal covering the dial. The sapphire features a magnifying lens at 3 o’clock and is coated with anti-reflective coating.

The PAM 28 includes a leather strap, complete with a matching DLC buckle.

Officine Panerai announced the addition of the Panerai PAM 341 today. Part of the 2009 special edition lineup, the PAM341 Radiomir Egiziano is an amazing recreation of a classic, historic piece and is housed in a massive 60 mm, brushed titanium case.

The Panerai PAM00341 is powered by a hand-wound P.2002/7 calibre movement, which features 13 3/4 lignes, 21 jewels, Glycydur balance, an 8 day power reserve, KIF Parechoc anti-shok protection, and three barrels. It is 6.6 mm thick and is made up of 191 components.

The PAM341 features hours, minutes, small seconds, and seconds reset. The massive case is made of brushed titanium and the watch has a 5.8 mm sapphire glass crystal and solid caseback.

The watch will be delivered with a leather strap, complete with a large brushed titanium sewn-in buckle and water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

There will be a total of 300 pieces released.

The 74 Serie is an incredibly realistic recreation of a particular vintage strap shown in one of Officine Panerai’s catalogs (picture taken from the Gunny Strap website):

As you can see, Peter really does an amazing job recreating the look of this particular strap. As anyone who has ever worked with leather will tell you, this is truly an art form. Treating leather to give it the appearance of being old and well-worn is certainly not as easy as it looks.

The 74 Serie is made of an extremely soft, comfortable leather that has a very rich, complex color. The strap features raw cut edges, and it’s definitely a strap that will only continue to look better the more it is worn.

The 74 Serie (and any other Gunny Strap) can be made to your exact specifications and features a flat, polished buckle. The strap shown in this review measures 26/26 and 140/85.

In my opinion, the 74 Serie is a “must have” for any Panerai owner who is looking for a realistic, vintage vibe. While it would look great on just about any PAM, it looks especially stunning on the Panerai PAM 127…
